Enhanced Public Health Measures
Update: Aligning our operations with Alberta’s updated public health directives
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have worked closely with the province, Alberta Health Services (AHS), and the city to align our operations with public health directives and bylaws, and we continue to do so.
Further to the provincial announcement made on February 26th, 2022, we want to make you aware that effective March 1st, 2022 we will be operating as follows:
- Indoor and outdoor social gathering limits will be removed, and
- Indoor masking will be required for visitors (ages 3+) only while inside the Rainforest building (this is to help keep our gorilla troop safe)
A friendly reminder that as of February 9th, 2022, proof of an Alberta government-issued QR code; a negative COVID-19 test; or valid proof of medical exemption is no longer required for entry to the zoo for both day admission and after-hours events.
We recognize there are varying levels of comfort with these operational changes and appreciate your understanding as we continue to operate in challenging times.
